Luis Ramiro Rubio Flores

Luis Ramiro Rubio Flores

Location Manager

Ramiro is originally from Mexico but is now based in Sydney Australia. Failing his university entrance exam back home was the best thing could have happened to him, even when the majority of his friends were accepted into university. He left home when he was 17, went to America as a tourist and started working to be able to live without asking for money and obviously travel whenever possible.

He then went to university later in Mexico to do a business degree. Throughout university he had several breaks to be able to travel to different countries.

Now, he has visited 35 countries across 5 continents. He’s fallen in love with food and looks to seek out new experiences because he knows that stepping out of his comfort zone will help him become a better person.

For Ramiro, the best part of travelling is making contact with local people, knowing their culture and their history. But wants everyone to know that travel isn’t always perfect…there are ups and downs to it just like everything else in the world and you are going to deal with challenges along the way, but that’s part of the whole experience. He would have absolutely loved the opportunity to go on a Global Grad Semester when he was younger!

He’s so excited to be part of Global Grad team, to share his experiences, support the students along the way and hopes to inspire everyone to embark on their own worldwide adventure!

He fills his time snorkelling, playing Mario kart and travelling.
