A Community Conversation is a digital version of the types of conversations that used to occur up and down the land. As we have moved into the new digital age and begun to spend less time in our physical communities due to increases in commuting, home working and online shopping to name a few, we have had less and less face-to-face social interactions. This has unfortunately led to communities becoming a lot more disjointed than they once were.
The Community Conversation has been set up to counteract this trend and enable us to talk to our local neighbourhood face-to-face once again. The idea is to set up a weekly Community Conversation, reaching out to all those within your physical community. E.g. your local parish area, village, or neighbourhood within a town or city. Ideally, this community would have between 1000 and 5000 people within it.
The first Community Conversation was set up for Collingham and its surrounding villages, midway between Lincoln and Nottingham.
